Preparing your students
- Clarify the expectations for AI use and citations for each assignment.
- Share with students up front, that your course will use OKhuman, and point them to the student guide. They need the app running and turned on while they write.
- Show students the workflow in class: turning verification on, writing, stamping, checking sources, and submitting.
- Use a low-stakes practice assignment to sort out setup questions before a graded one.

Syllabus
OKhuman. In this course, you will use OKhuman to share the human effort in your writing. You will be submitting assignments with an OKhuman stamp. The stamp itself does not represent the quality of your work and doesn't change the rubric.
How it works. Install the OKhuman Companion on your Mac or Windows computer (no cost) and enable it while you write in any supported writing app. When you're done, click Stamp. OKhuman adds a stamp link to your document. Submit the assignment as usual, just with the stamp link intact.
What the stamp shows. How you were involved in the writing: the time you spent, the words you wrote, and which parts were typed and which were pasted, with their sources. If you reproduce your work from another source, OKhuman characterizes your work accordingly. You see exactly what I see. OKhuman doesn't grade your work or detect AI from the text. Follow the course rules on AI use, sources and collaboration; the stamp helps us talk about how you worked.
Your privacy. OKhuman records nothing when it isn't running and keeps no drafts or replay of your writing. When writing, none of your words ever leave your device.
Getting help. Setup takes about ten minutes; the guide is at okhuman.com/help. For problems with OKhuman, email hello@okhuman.com. Ask me about anything to do with the assignments.

Remember to include an OKhuman stamp with your submission. Keep the OKhuman Companion on while you write, click Stamp when you're done, and submit as usual with the stamp link at the end of your text. Paste your text or upload a file; a Google Docs link won't work.
