What OKhuman records
What is recorded and what isn't
OKhuman records evidence of human involvement: keystroke timing, not keystrokes; paste events and their sources; active time spent writing and engaging. OKhuman doesn't keep a record of your words. In fact, words never leave your device. OKhuman doesn't keep track of text revisions for playback.
How the OKhuman integration interacts with your LMS
When an assignment is submitted, your LMS sends the stamped submission text to OKhuman. OKhuman generates a human involvement report and publishes it back to your LMS. The submission text is not persisted. This makes our solution FERPA aligned.
What system permissions does the OKhuman Companion require?
Accessibility permissions are required to review the writing in progress and how it's being modified.
Do we train any models on student writing?
No, we don't store or interpret student writing. We don't build any models on this. We build a model from data that we record to identify whether the student wrote the work or simply typed it.
