Stamp and review your work
With verification ON for your writing app, write as you normally would. When you're ready, while leaving your cursor in the document, click Stamp in the Companion or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+K on Windows and ⌥⌘K on macOS. After successful stamping, OKhuman adds a stamp link to the end of your document, like this:
웃 https://okhuman.com/62F90A
Leave the link in to show your reader the effort behind the writing. This stamp is saved in your Stamp History. This history is accessible from within the app or on the OKhuman website. After making changes to the document and before you share the document with your reader, stamp again.
Across how many days and sessions you write is up to you. OKhuman accumulates into the same record. A stamp represents all the effort you've put in.
The review window
Stamping opens the review window. You see it when you create the stamp. Only those you share the stamp link with see the insights in the review window.
- Involvement label: what OKhuman observed, such as Written by Human. See understanding a stamp.
- Time spent: the active writing time of everyone who worked on the text.
- Words written: the words OKhuman recorded as directly typed by a person.
- Writers and Sources: who wrote which parts, and where pasted text came from. See sources and collaboration.
To review an existing stamp, open a stamped document, place your cursor inside the document and choose Stamp.
Companion controls
Control verification by app
The Companion window shows the app you're writing in, with a toggle to turn verification on or off for it. Check that it's on before you start an assignment. OKhuman records nothing when it isn't running.
You can review all the apps for which OKhuman has been enabled by accessing Settings → Enabled Apps.
Stamps and Stamp History
- Stamp History lists your earlier stamps.
- Clicking on a stamp shows brief stamp insights.
App modes
- You can switch OKhuman between Compact mode and Companion mode using the green button on macOS or the / button on Windows. This is also available from the menu button in the bottom right of the window.
- You can also move OKhuman to the background using the yellow button on macOS or the button on Windows. This doesn't turn verification off. Reopen the window using the OKhuman icon in the menu bar on macOS or the taskbar on Windows.
